The Coast

Amalfi, the Amalfi Coast's name sake town, is a beautiful town with dramatic scenery on the South-west coast of Italy that stretches for ~35 miles (60 km) between Sorrento and Salerno. The entire area is dotted with beautiful towns and villages, each with its unique culture rich with historic churches and quaint old houses.

The Weather

It has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. It’s the beginning of summer in June, and temperatures are getting hot as the peak months approach. June has great weather both for exploring the nearby towns and relaxing on the beach. At this time of year, the average high temperature reaches 80 F (26 C) You can expect eight hours of sunshine each day, so don’t forget to pick up plenty of sunscreen. Temperatures remain pleasant in the evenings, but with average lows dropping to 60 F (16 C), you might want a light jacket if you’re out in the town after dark.
